A man was fined £80 for throwing a firework in the street during a march by the EDL in Nottingham on August 6. Jack Stevens, 26, pleaded guilty when he appeared before magistrates in the city today. He was ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs. The charge was bought under the 1837 Town Police Clauses Act and said that “on King Street he wantonly threw a firework to the obstruction, annoyance or danger of residents”.
