A stroke campaigner, who had a ward at the City Hospital named after him, has thanked Nottingham doctors and nurses for saving his life. Ossie Newell MBE, whom the Newell Ward is named, was rushed to the Queen’s Medical Centre last month after a urinary infection developed into sepsis attacking his organs.
